VISION

The vision of IBU is to positively affect the direction of urban development by broadening the urban discourse with the interdisciplinary IBU think tank and by creating experimental catalyst projects in areas of social, economic and environmental need. These projects shall serve as a bottom up approach to changing the current destructive development patterns. They shall also serve as educational examples, informing the public as well as policy makers and planners about the sustainable alternatives of bionomic urbanism.

MISSION

The Institute for Bionomic Urbanism sets forth new, integrated, economically, socially and environmentally sustainable development ideas for creating a better future for our cities and their dwellers. The IBU works towards the goal of a sustainable, bionomic urbanism by both developing theory and by practical, project based application.
